Duration: One Month.

Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent is required.

Objective: The Certified Compressor Safety Technician course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and practical skills for safely working with various types of compressors used in industrial, manufacturing, and utility settings. The course covers compressor types (reciprocating, rotary, centrifugal), operating principles, start-up and shutdown procedures, pressure safety protocols, lubrication systems, cooling mechanisms, and preventive maintenance practices.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Compressors and Safety Fundamentals: Types of compressors (reciprocating, rotary, centrifugal), Basic components and working principles of compressors, Applications of compressors in various industries, Common hazards associated with compressor operation, Role and responsibilities of a Compressor Safety Technician, Importance of safety standards and regulations (OSHA, ISO).

Module 2: Compressor Installation and Pre-Operation Safety: Site selection and foundation requirements, Electrical and mechanical installation safety, Pre-commissioning checks and inspection procedures, Ensuring ventilation and temperature control in compressor rooms, Safety signage, barriers, and isolation procedures, Leak detection and control before starting operations.

Module 3: Safe Operation and Handling Procedures: Start-up and shutdown procedures for various types of compressors, Monitoring operating parameters and abnormal conditions, Pressure relief systems and automatic shut-off devices, Handling of lubricants, coolants, and compressed air safely, PPE requirements during compressor operations, Noise and vibration control measures.

Module 4: Maintenance Safety and Troubleshooting: Preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during servicing, Identifying and rectifying faults (vibration, overheating, pressure drops), Cleaning and replacement of filters, valves, and belts, Handling electrical and mechanical maintenance safely, Documentation and maintenance logbook updates.

Module 5: Emergency Response and Risk Management: Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) related to compressors, Emergency shutdown procedures during fire, explosion, or gas leaks, First aid response for compressor-related injuries (burns, hearing damage), Fire protection systems and fire extinguisher use, Spill containment and environmental safety, Root cause analysis of incidents and implementation of corrective actions.

Module 6: Compliance, Audits, and Safety Training: Compressor-related regulatory requirements and safety codes, Internal safety audits and performance reviews, Inspection checklists and recordkeeping, Conducting toolbox talks and on-site safety briefings, Training of operators and maintenance personnel, Continuous improvement through safety feedback and reporting systems.
