Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 2 – Backup Strategy & Technologies: Types of backups (full, incremental, differential, mirror, synthetic), Backup storage media and technologies (disk, tape, cloud, object storage), Backup software and appliances, Data deduplication, compression and snapshot technologies, Scheduling, retention and lifecycle management of backups, Off‑site, remote and cloud backup architectures

Module 3 – Disaster Recovery & Infrastructure Resilience: Designing DR plans: hot site, warm site, cold site, site‑failover strategies, High availability and fault tolerance infrastructures, Replication, clustering and continuous data protection (CDP), Network, compute and storage resilience for DR, Cloud‑based DR and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), Testing, verification and validation of DR infrastructures

Module 4 – Planning, Implementation & Orchestration of DR: Workload and application prioritisation, Conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Risk Assessment for DR planning, Defining DR strategies and procedures, Implementing DR orchestration, automation and fail‑over/fail‑back workflows, Data migration, continuity and rollback planning, Change management, documentation, team coordination and stakeholder communication

Module 5 – Monitoring, Testing & Maintenance: Backup job monitoring, logging, alerting and auditing, DR plan testing: tabletop, simulation, full fail‑over drills, Measuring and improving recovery metrics (RTO, RPO, recovery rate), Maintenance of DR plans: updates, lessons learned, continuous improvement, Incident response integration and recovery operations management, Compliance reporting, audit readiness and performance benchmarking

Module 6 – Emerging Trends, Security & Governance in Backup & DR: Security considerations for backup and DR (encryption, access controls, immutability, ransomware protection), Data governance, metadata, retention policy and archival strategies, Cloud & hybrid‑cloud backup/DR architectures, Emerging technologies (edge, IoT, containerised workloads, serverless) in backup and DR, Cost optimisation, business case and ROI for backup/DR solutions, Future‑proofing DR: resilience, resilience engineering and organisational culture
