Objective: The Certified Electrical Hazards Specialist course is designed to provide comprehensive training in the recognition and control of electrical hazards across industrial, commercial, and construction settings. The course covers key topics such as electrical shock and arc flash risks, safe work practices, hazard identification techniques, grounding and bonding, overcurrent protection, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Electrical Hazards and Safety Principles: Definition and types of electrical hazards (shock, arc flash, arc blast, fire), Basic electrical concepts (current, voltage, resistance, circuits), Common causes of electrical incidents in workplaces, Role and responsibilities of an Electrical Hazards Specialist, Importance of electrical safety culture and compliance, Overview of applicable standards (NFPA 70E, OSHA, IEC, IS).

Module 2: Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment in Electrical Systems: Systematic methods for electrical hazard identification, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) for electrical tasks, Arc flash hazard analysis and boundary determination, Shock risk evaluation and safe approach distances, Classification and documentation of risk levels, Use of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and risk control measures.

Module 3: Electrical Installations, Equipment Safety, and Safe Work Practices: Safe design and installation practices for panels, wiring, and switchgear, Safety requirements for maintenance and energized work, Inspection and verification of electrical equipment and systems, Use of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, Equipment grounding and bonding practices, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for electrical work.

Module 4: Arc Flash and Shock Protection Strategies: Understanding arc flash causes, effects, and prevention, Calculating incident energy and arc flash boundaries, Arc-rated clothing and PPE selection and care, Shock protection methods and insulating tools, Establishing and enforcing approach boundaries, Labeling and signage requirements for arc flash zones.

Module 5: Emergency Response, First Aid, and Incident Investigation: Electrical emergency preparedness and response protocols, First aid for electrical shock, burns, and unconsciousness, Firefighting techniques for electrical equipment fires, Emergency shutdown and evacuation procedures, Incident reporting and investigation methodology, Root cause analysis and corrective action planning.

Module 6: Compliance, Training, and Continuous Improvement: Electrical safety regulations and legal obligations, Training requirements for electrical and non-electrical personnel, Developing and delivering effective safety training programs, Conducting safety audits and inspections, Continuous improvement through near-miss reporting and feedback, Case studies of electrical hazard incidents and lessons learned.
