Objective: The Certified Housekeeping Manager course is designed to develop advanced managerial skills and in-depth operational knowledge required to lead housekeeping departments in hotels, resorts, hospitals, and other large facilities. The course covers strategic planning, staff recruitment and training, budget and cost control, inventory and procurement, quality assurance, and implementation of SOPs. It also emphasizes guest service excellence, interdepartmental coordination, sustainability practices, health and safety compliance, and use of housekeeping management systems. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Housekeeping Management: Role and responsibilities of a Housekeeping Manager, Organizational structure and departmental hierarchy, Interdepartmental coordination (front office, maintenance, laundry), Housekeeping workflows and operations planning, Guest satisfaction and service excellence, Key performance indicators in housekeeping.

Module 2: Housekeeping Operations and Standard Procedures: Development and implementation of SOPs, Supervision of room cleaning, public areas, and back-of-house, Handling VIP rooms, special requests, and turn-down service, Managing spring cleaning and preventive maintenance, Linen and laundry management oversight, Use of housekeeping checklists and audits.

Module 3: Staff Management and Leadership: Recruitment, onboarding, and staff deployment, Training and skill development programs, Creating and managing duty rosters and schedules, Performance appraisals and motivation strategies, Team-building and conflict resolution techniques, Promoting workplace discipline and professionalism.

Module 4: Budgeting, Cost Control, and Inventory Management: Budget planning and resource allocation, Cost control for cleaning supplies, amenities, and linen, Inventory tracking and procurement procedures, Vendor selection and negotiation, Monitoring usage and minimizing wastage, Financial reporting and variance analysis.

Module 5: Quality Assurance, Safety, and Hygiene Standards: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, Implementation of HACCP and sanitization protocols, Managing inspections and audits (internal/external), Guestroom and public area inspection procedures, Training on safety equipment and emergency protocols, Sustainability and green housekeeping practices.

Module 6: Administration, Technology, and Guest Relations: Housekeeping documentation and reporting systems, Use of housekeeping software and digital tools, Managing lost and found operations, Handling guest complaints and feedback resolution, Supporting event setups and special room arrangements, Coordination with hotel management and executive teams.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
