Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Solar Installation Technician course aims to develop competent renewable-energy professionals who can design, install, operate, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems safely and efficiently. The course provides a strong foundation in solar energy concepts, PV system components, site assessment, and system sizing. Learners gain hands-on skills in mounting structures, electrical wiring, inverter configuration, battery integration, and system troubleshooting.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Solar Energy Fundamentals: Solar radiation and spectrum, Types of solar energy systems, Principles of photovoltaic conversion, Solar resource assessment, Orientation and tilt concepts, Basic energy calculations

Module 2: Photovoltaic System Components: Solar PV modules and ratings, Inverters and MPPT, Mounting structures and hardware, Balance of system components, Cables and connectors, Protection devices and grounding

Module 3: System Design and Sizing: Load assessment and energy demand, Site survey and shading analysis, PV array sizing, Inverter and battery sizing, System configuration (on-grid/off-grid/hybrid), Designing for efficiency and safety

Module 4: Installation Practices: Mounting and structural installation, Electrical wiring and terminations, Inverter installation and configuration, Battery bank installation, Earthing and surge protection, Inspection and quality checks

Module 5: Operation, Safety, and Maintenance: Electrical safety standards, Personal protective equipment (PPE), Troubleshooting common faults, Preventive maintenance routines, Performance monitoring, Documentation and reporting

Module 6: Codes, Standards, and Professional Practice: National and international PV standards, Installation guidelines and compliance, Environmental and sustainability considerations, Project management basics, Customer communication and handover, Ethical and professional responsibilities

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
