Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Ashtanga/Vinyasa Yoga Instructor course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and practical expertise to teach dynamic, flowing yoga sequences safely and effectively. The course emphasizes understanding the principles of Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga, including breath-synchronized movement, posture alignment, sequencing, and modifications for different skill levels.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Foundations of Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga: History and philosophy of Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga, Principles of breath-movement synchronization (vinyasa), Benefits for strength, flexibility, and mental clarity, Understanding the eight limbs of yoga, Role of mindfulness and focus in practice, Setting intentions for teaching dynamic yoga classes

Module 2: Anatomy and Physiology for Dynamic Yoga: Musculoskeletal system and alignment principles, Core strength and stability in yoga, Nervous system and breath-mind connection, Joint safety and injury prevention, Recognizing individual limitations and contraindications, Body mechanics for advanced sequences and transitions

Module 3: Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga Asanas and Sequences: Foundational sun salutations (Surya Namaskar A & B), Standing postures and balancing sequences, Forward bends, twists, and hip openers, Backbends and inversions, Core and arm-strengthening poses, Sequencing techniques for flow-based classes

Module 4: Pranayama, Breath, and Bandha Integration: Breath awareness and ujjayi breathing, Synchronizing breath with movement (vinyasa flow), Introduction to bandhas and energy locks, Techniques for breath retention and control, Using pranayama for focus and endurance, Integrating breathwork into dynamic sequences

Module 5: Designing Ashtanga/Vinyasa Yoga Classes: Structuring beginner, intermediate, and advanced sessions, Customizing flow sequences for strength, flexibility, and balance, Warm-up, peak, and cool-down phases, Incorporating meditation and relaxation, Monitoring student progress and safety, Creating engaging and motivating class experiences

Module 6: Professional Practices and Ethics: Ethical considerations in dynamic yoga instruction, Maintaining student safety and alignment, Continuing personal practice and skill development, Legal responsibilities and professional boundaries, Collaborating with wellness and healthcare professionals, Career pathways as an Ashtanga/Vinyasa yoga instructor

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
