Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/HT/CHFS/V1

Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Housekeeping Floor Supervisor course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently manage and supervise housekeeping operations on a hotel floor. The program covers daily floor management, staff supervision, scheduling, inventory control, inspection of guest rooms and public areas, quality assurance, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Housekeeping Management: Role and Responsibilities of a Floor Supervisor, Organizational Structure of Housekeeping Department, Housekeeping Standards and Policies, Importance of Cleanliness and Hygiene, Types of Accommodation and Guest Rooms, Coordination with Other Hotel Departments

Module 2: Cleaning Procedures and Techniques: Daily and Periodic Cleaning Schedules, Room Cleaning and Maintenance, Public Area Cleaning, Use of Cleaning Chemicals and Equipment, Linen and Laundry Handling, Safety Precautions in Cleaning Operations

Module 3: Staff Management and Supervision: Staff Roles and Responsibilities, Training and Development of Housekeeping Staff, Staff Scheduling and Rostering, Motivation and Team Building, Performance Monitoring and Appraisal, Conflict Resolution and Staff Communication

Module 4: Inventory and Resource Management: Inventory Control of Linen, Amenities, and Cleaning Supplies, Stock Replenishment Procedures, Cost Management and Budgeting, Record Keeping and Documentation, Loss Prevention Techniques, Equipment Maintenance and Usage

Module 5: Guest Relations and Service Excellence: Handling Guest Requests and Complaints, Room Inspection and Quality Assurance, VIP Guest Service Standards, Effective Communication with Guests, Enhancing Guest Satisfaction, Maintaining Privacy and Confidentiality

Module 6: Safety, Security, and Sustainability: Occupational Health and Safety Practices, Fire Safety and Emergency Procedures, Security Measures for Guests and Staff, Handling Hazardous Materials, Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Housekeeping Practices, Compliance with Legal and Hotel Standards

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
