Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Hotel Operations Supervisor course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to efficiently supervise and manage day-to-day operations in hotels. The course covers front office management, housekeeping, food and beverage operations, guest services, staff supervision, quality control, and operational procedures.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Hotel Industry & Organisation: overview of hospitality industry, types and classification of hotels, hotel departments and their functions, organizational structure, guest types and guest cycle stages, hotel terminology and guest satisfaction importance

Module 2: Front Office & Guest‑Relations Operations: reservation process and room booking, check‑in and check‑out procedures, guest registration and billing, guest query and complaint handling, guest history and record‑keeping, telephone etiquette and inter‑department coordination

Module 3: Housekeeping & Accommodation Operations: room cleaning procedures and maintenance, linen and laundry operations, public‑area maintenance, cleaning tools and equipment handling, lost‑and‑found and key‑control systems, inventory control and housekeeping coordination with front office

Module 4: Food & Beverage and Guest Services Operations: types of food service and meal plans, restaurant / room‑service / banquet operations, beverage classification and service, menu types and meal courses, buffet and banquet service basics, guest handling in F&B and communication within F&B team

Module 5: Safety, Hygiene, Sanitation & Food‑Safety Standards: personal hygiene and grooming standards for hotel staff, food safety regulations and contamination risks, hygienic food‑handling and storage practices, cleaning & sanitation procedures, emergency response and first aid basics, safety & security protocols and guest‑privacy policies

Module 6: Supervisory, Soft Skills, Management & Systems: supervisory roles and responsibilities, staff coordination and teamwork, effective communication and guest relations, problem–solving and complaint resolution, hotel property management systems (PMS) and POS usage, sustainable hotel operations and energy / resource conservation

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
