Certification Name: Certified Radiology Technician

Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/HF/CRT/V1

Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Radiology Technician course is designed to equip students with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to perform diagnostic imaging procedures safely and accurately. The program focuses on understanding human anatomy, radiographic techniques, radiation safety, imaging equipment operation, and patient positioning for X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and other radiological procedures.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Radiology: Overview of radiology and medical imaging, Roles and responsibilities of a radiology technician, History and evolution of radiologic technology, Legal and ethical considerations in radiology, Importance of patient safety, Healthcare standards and regulations

Module 2: Anatomy, Physiology, and Imaging Principles: Basic human anatomy relevant to imaging, Physiology and organ system overview, Principles of X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound imaging, Radiation physics and interaction with tissues, Image formation and quality, Safety precautions in radiologic procedures

Module 3: Radiology Equipment and Operation: Types of radiology equipment and modalities, Operating X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound machines, Calibration and maintenance of imaging equipment, Positioning and alignment techniques, Equipment troubleshooting, Quality assurance and control protocols

Module 4: Patient Care and Safety: Patient preparation and positioning, Communication and empathy with patients, Monitoring patients during imaging procedures, Managing contraindications and precautions, Radiation protection for patients and staff, Emergency response and first aid

Module 5: Imaging Techniques and Procedures: Standard imaging procedures for different body systems, Contrast media usage and safety, Special radiographic techniques, Image acquisition protocols, Documentation and reporting, Assisting radiologists in diagnostic procedures

Module 6: Data Management, Reporting, and Professional Development: Image storage and retrieval systems (PACS), Maintaining electronic and paper records, Reporting and assisting in diagnostic interpretations, Adhering to legal and regulatory requirements, Continuous learning and certification updates, Professional ethics and workplace conduct

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
