Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/AD/CDP/V1

Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Digital Painter course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to create professional-quality digital paintings for games, films, animation, illustration, and concept art. The course covers digital painting fundamentals, color theory, composition, anatomy, perspective, lighting, texture rendering, software tools (such as Photoshop, Procreate, or Corel Painter), and artistic storytelling.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Digital Painting: Introduction to digital painting, Principles of visual art (composition, perspective, color, light), Understanding digital tools and software, Basic drawing and sketching techniques, Anatomy and proportion for digital art, Case studies of digital painting works

Module 2: Digital Painting Tools and Techniques: Overview of digital painting software (Photoshop, Procreate, Corel Painter), Brushes, layers, and blending modes, Selection and masking techniques, Digital textures and patterns, Custom brush creation, Shortcuts and workflow optimization

Module 3: Color Theory and Light: Color theory and harmony, Value, contrast, and saturation in digital art, Lighting and shadow techniques, Mood and atmosphere creation through color, Understanding ambient and directional light, Color grading and post-processing

Module 4: Character and Environment Painting: Character design and digital portrait painting, Clothing, fabric, and accessory rendering, Creature and fantasy design, Environment and landscape painting, Foreground, midground, background composition, Perspective and spatial depth in scenes

Module 5: Advanced Techniques and Styles: Realism and stylization approaches, Concept art and illustration techniques, Texture and surface detailing, Special effects (glow, particles, mist), Speed painting and efficiency techniques, Hybrid media and mixed digital approaches

Module 6: Portfolio Development and Professional Practice: Creating a professional digital painting portfolio, Presenting artwork effectively to clients and employers, Working with art briefs and project guidelines, Freelance and industry best practices, Networking and collaboration, Continuous learning and skill enhancement

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
