Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent.

Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The Certificate in Health Literacy Education course is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills to effectively educate individuals and communities on health-related topics. The course covers principles of health literacy, communication strategies, patient education, public health awareness, and behavior change techniques.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Module 1: Introduction to Health Literacy: Overview of Health Literacy, Role of a Health Literacy Educator, Key Terminology and Concepts, Importance of Health Literacy in Public Health, Health Literacy Challenges and Barriers, Health Literacy Across Different Populations

Module 2: Communication Skills for Health Education: Principles of Effective Health Communication, Health Messaging and Plain Language, Cultural Competency and Sensitivity, Patient Education Techniques, Digital Communication and Telehealth, Active Listening and Feedback Strategies

Module 3: Health Education Program Design: Assessing Community Health Needs, Developing Health Literacy Goals and Objectives, Designing Evidence-Based Health Programs, Incorporating Behavioral Change Models, Educational Materials and Resources, Program Implementation Strategies

Module 4: Health Literacy Assessment and Evaluation: Tools for Measuring Health Literacy, Evaluating Educational Outcomes, Monitoring Program Effectiveness, Conducting Surveys and Focus Groups, Data Collection and Analysis, Reporting and Using Results for Improvement

Module 5: Policy, Advocacy, and Professional Standards: Understanding Health Policy and Regulations, Advocating for Health Literacy Initiatives, Ethical Considerations in Health Education, Standards and Best Practices for Health Educators, Collaboration with Healthcare Stakeholders, Promoting Community Health Equity

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
