Objective: The Certified Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Facilitator course is designed to equip educators, counselors, and school leaders with the knowledge and skills to effectively implement SEL programs that foster students’ social and emotional development. The course covers core SEL competencies such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Foundations of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): Definition and importance of SEL, Core competencies of SEL (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, responsible decision-making), The neuroscience of emotions and learning, SEL frameworks and models, Impact of SEL on academic and life success, Cultural responsiveness in SEL.

Module 2: Self-Awareness and Emotional Regulation: Understanding emotions and emotional literacy, Techniques for developing self-awareness, Strategies for emotional regulation and coping, Mindfulness and stress reduction practices, Building resilience and growth mindset, Assessing self-awareness skills in learners.

Module 3: Social Awareness and Relationship Skills: Developing empathy and perspective-taking, Communication skills and active listening, Conflict resolution and problem-solving, Building positive peer relationships, Promoting inclusivity and respect for diversity, Collaborative group activities and team-building.

Module 4: Responsible Decision-Making and Ethical Behavior: Teaching ethical reasoning and moral development, Strategies for responsible decision-making, Goal-setting and problem-solving skills, Encouraging accountability and self-discipline, Integrating SEL into daily choices and behaviors, Case studies and real-life scenarios.

Module 5: Implementing SEL Programs and Practices: Designing and adapting SEL curricula, Integrating SEL across subjects and school culture, Using assessment tools to measure SEL outcomes, Engaging families and communities in SEL, Supporting educators’ SEL competencies, Overcoming challenges in SEL implementation.

Module 6: Leadership and Advocacy for SEL: Leading SEL initiatives in educational settings, Advocating for SEL policies and funding, Building sustainable SEL programs, Professional development and coaching for staff, Evaluating program effectiveness, Promoting equity and trauma-informed practices in SEL.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
