Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The objective of the Certified Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welder course is to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills to perform TIG welding using inert gas shielding for a variety of metals, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. The course covers welding principles, equipment setup, torch handling, filler metal selection, welding techniques, safety protocols, and quality inspection.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Introduction to TIG Welding: Overview of TIG welding process, Principles of arc welding, Types of welding processes comparison, Applications of TIG welding, Roles and responsibilities of a TIG welder, Safety practices in welding operations.
Module 2: Welding Equipment and Materials: Components of TIG welding machines, Types of tungsten electrodes, Shielding gases and their properties, Selection of filler metals, Welding power sources, Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Module 3: Welding Techniques and Procedures: Setting welding parameters (current, voltage, gas flow), Electrode preparation and sharpening, Torch handling and positioning, Welding joint types and fit-up, Start and stop techniques, Controlling heat input and weld quality.
Module 4: Welding of Different Materials: TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals, Pre-welding preparation, Post-weld cleaning and inspection, Dealing with material-specific challenges, Use of backing bars and chill blocks, Weld distortion prevention.
Module 5: Quality Control and Inspection: Visual inspection criteria, Common welding defects and causes, Non-destructive testing methods (dye penetrant, ultrasonic), Weld documentation and reporting, Repair techniques, Maintaining welding standards and codes.
Module 6: Safety and Environmental Considerations: Personal protective equipment (PPE) for welding, Handling gases and electrical hazards, Ventilation and fume extraction, Fire prevention and emergency procedures, Waste disposal and environmental impact, Compliance with safety regulations.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
- There is no negative marking in any module.
