Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The objective of the Certified Tiler & Flooring Technician course is to equip participants with the technical skills and knowledge necessary for installing, maintaining, and repairing different types of tiles and flooring materials, including ceramic, porcelain, stone, vinyl, and hardwood. The course covers surface preparation, layout planning, cutting and fitting techniques, grout application, finishing, and quality inspection.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Tiling and Flooring: Overview of tiling and flooring trades, Types of tiles and flooring materials, Roles and responsibilities of a tiler and flooring technician, Understanding flooring terminology, Basic tools and equipment used, Safety practices in tiling and flooring work.

Module 2: Materials and Tools: Types of ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, and vinyl tiles, Adhesives, grouts, and sealants, Subfloor materials and preparation, Selection criteria for materials, Handling and storage of materials, Maintenance of tools and equipment.

Module 3: Surface Preparation: Assessing and preparing subfloors, Cleaning and leveling surfaces, Moisture testing and treatment, Repairing cracks and defects, Primer application, Ensuring proper substrate for adhesion.

Module 4: Installation Techniques: Tile layout and pattern planning, Cutting and shaping tiles, Applying adhesives and setting tiles, Grouting and sealing joints, Installing different types of flooring (wood, laminate, vinyl), Ensuring alignment and levelness.

Module 5: Finishing and Maintenance: Cleaning and finishing tiled and floored surfaces, Applying sealants and protective coatings, Repairing damaged tiles or flooring, Routine maintenance practices, Addressing common installation issues, Customer handover and care instructions.

Module 6: Safety and Quality Control: Personal protective equipment (PPE) use, Safe handling of tools and materials, Hazard identification and risk mitigation, Quality inspection and standards compliance, Documentation and reporting, Continuous improvement and professional development.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
