Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Green Building Design Specialist course is designed to equip professionals with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills to design environmentally sustainable buildings. The course covers green design principles including energy efficiency, water conservation, sustainable materials selection, indoor environmental quality, and site sustainability.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Green Building Design: Principles of sustainable design, Benefits of green buildings, Environmental impacts of construction, Overview of green building rating systems (LEED, IGBC, BREEAM), Green building materials and resources, Role of a green building design specialist.

Module 2: Site Planning and Sustainable Landscaping: Site assessment and environmental analysis, Minimizing site disturbance, Stormwater management and erosion control, Sustainable landscaping practices, Use of native plants and xeriscaping, Urban heat island mitigation strategies.

Module 3: Energy-Efficient Building Design: Passive solar design principles, Building orientation and daylighting, High-performance building envelope, Energy-efficient HVAC systems, Integration of renewable energy technologies, Energy modeling and simulation tools.

Module 4: Water Efficiency and Management: Water-saving fixtures and appliances, Rainwater harvesting and reuse systems, Greywater recycling, Efficient irrigation practices, Water metering and leak detection, Designing for water resilience.

Module 5: Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ): Air quality management and ventilation strategies, Use of low-VOC and non-toxic materials, Daylighting and views, Thermal comfort design, Acoustics and noise control, Indoor plants and biophilic design.

Module 6: Green Building Certification and Professional Practice: Green building certification processes and documentation, Compliance with codes and standards, Cost estimation and budgeting for green projects, Client communication and stakeholder collaboration, Ethics and continuing education, Case studies and emerging trends in green building design.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
