Eligibility: 10+2 Grade (Higher Secondary) or Equivalent is required.

Objective: The Certified Linen & Uniform Coordinator course is designed to develop the skills and knowledge needed to oversee the handling, storage, issuance, and tracking of linens and staff uniforms. The course covers linen lifecycle management, fabric care, laundering processes, inventory control, labeling and recordkeeping, and coordination with laundry and housekeeping departments. It also emphasizes quality checks, stain and damage identification, hygiene standards, cost control measures, and uniform fitting and allotment procedures. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Linen and Uniform Management: Role and responsibilities of a Linen & Uniform Coordinator, Importance of linen and uniform control in hospitality, Types of linen and uniforms used in various departments, Linen and uniform lifecycle management, Coordination with housekeeping, laundry, and other departments, Overview of linen room layout and workflow.

Module 2: Inventory Control and Record Keeping: Procedures for receiving, issuing, and storing linen and uniforms, Maintaining stock levels and reorder points, Inventory tracking methods (manual and digital), Linen and uniform tagging and identification systems, Preparing inventory reports and usage logs, Preventing pilferage and misuse.

Module 3: Linen Room Operations and Procedures: Organization and maintenance of linen and uniform storage areas, Sorting and classifying used and fresh linen, Scheduling linen pick-up and delivery with laundry, Handling soiled, damaged, and stained items, Packing and distributing linen to departments, Safety and hygiene standards in the linen room.

Module 4: Uniform Management and Staff Coordination: Issuing uniforms to new and existing staff, Fitting, alterations, and sizing procedures, Maintaining uniform issue records for all staff, Scheduling uniform cleaning and replacement, Ensuring proper grooming and dress code compliance, Handling special uniform needs for events or departments.

Module 5: Fabric Knowledge and Maintenance Standards: Types of fabrics and their properties (cotton, polyester, blends), Suitable washing and ironing procedures for different materials, Stain identification and treatment methods, Storage and care of seasonal and specialty items, Setting quality standards for laundering, Working with vendors for repairs and replacements.

Module 6: Quality Assurance, Budgeting, and Sustainability: Inspecting linen and uniforms for quality and cleanliness, Cost control and budgeting for linen and uniform operations, Forecasting future linen and uniform needs, Sustainable linen practices (reuse, recycling, eco-friendly materials), Implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs), Coordinating with management on audits and cost reports.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
