Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Cultural Tourism and Its Significance: Definition, scope, and evolution of cultural tourism, Differences between cultural, heritage, and experiential tourism, Importance of cultural tourism in economic and community development, Role of cultural tourism in promoting intercultural understanding, Key organizations supporting cultural tourism (UNESCO, UNWTO, INTACH), Responsibilities and ethical role of a Cultural Tourism Specialist.

Module 2: Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage: Understanding tangible heritage: monuments, architecture, museums, Understanding intangible heritage: folklore, rituals, festivals, performing arts, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and their tourism value, Safeguarding indigenous knowledge and community traditions, Developing tourism experiences around local crafts, music, and cuisine, Interpreting culture responsibly to different types of tourists.

Module 3: Cultural Destination Planning and Development: Identifying and mapping cultural assets of a region, Designing cultural circuits and thematic trails, Infrastructure and facility planning for cultural sites, Community involvement and local entrepreneurship in tourism, Cultural site conservation, restoration, and tourism compatibility, Capacity building and skill development for local cultural hosts.

Module 4: Tour Design, Storytelling, and Interpretation Techniques: Creating culturally immersive tour packages and experiences, Role of storytelling in enriching cultural narratives, Training in interpretation skills for monuments, performances, and traditions, Customizing tours for different audience types: students, researchers, enthusiasts, Integrating cultural workshops, homestays, and hands-on experiences, Tools for enhancing tours: audio guides, AR, printed materials.

Module 5: Marketing, Promotion, and Visitor Engagement: Branding and positioning of cultural tourism destinations, Using digital marketing to promote cultural events and experiences, Engaging with media, influencers, and cultural bloggers, Designing promotional materials: brochures, itineraries, videos, Collaborating with tourism boards, cultural centers, and embassies, Building responsible visitor behavior through educational campaigns.

Module 6: Policies, Sustainability, and Future of Cultural Tourism: National and international policies governing cultural tourism, Sustainable tourism principles applied to cultural sites and communities, Avoiding over-tourism, commercialization, and cultural commodification, Promoting inclusive tourism respecting gender, age, and ability diversity, Future trends: digital heritage, virtual cultural tourism, slow travel, Career opportunities and entrepreneurship in cultural tourism planning and management.
