Objective: The Core Fitness Training course is designed to provide fitness professionals and enthusiasts with in-depth knowledge and practical skills to strengthen the core muscles effectively. The program covers anatomy and physiology of the core, including the abdominals, back muscles, pelvic floor, and hip stabilizers. It emphasizes functional core training techniques, posture correction, injury prevention, and integration of core stability into overall fitness and athletic performance. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Core Fitness and Functional Anatomy: efinition and importance of core fitness in overall performance, Components of the core: abdominals, obliques, transverse abdominis, erector spinae, diaphragm, and pelvic floor, Functional role of the core in movement, posture, and stabilization, Myths and facts about core training and spot reduction, Understanding kinetic chains and their relationship to core strength, Assessing core engagement and alignment in various positions.

Module 2: Core Stability, Mobility, and Posture: Difference between core stability and core strength, Exercises for activating deep stabilizing muscles, Postural alignment and its impact on core engagement, Identifying and correcting common postural imbalances, Mobility drills for spine, hips, and thoracic region, Breathing techniques and their integration with core activation.

Module 3: Core Strengthening Exercises and Progressions: Bodyweight core exercises: planks, bridges, leg raises, and bird dogs, Equipment-based core training: stability balls, BOSU, resistance bands, and cables, Dynamic core training with medicine balls and kettlebells, Multi-planar movements for rotational and anti-rotational strength, Progressions and regressions for various fitness levels, Integrating core exercises into full-body workouts.

Module 4: Core Training for Sport and Performance: Sport-specific demands and core muscle recruitment patterns, Enhancing agility, balance, and explosive power through core conditioning, Plyometric and reactive core training for athletic performance, Core training in speed, endurance, and strength sports, Transfer of core strength to functional movement efficiency, Injury prevention and rehabilitation through core-focused protocols.

Module 5: Core Training for Special Populations: Core considerations for seniors, youth, prenatal/postnatal clients, Modifications for clients with lower back pain or spinal conditions, Core reactivation for sedentary individuals or post-injury recovery, Low-impact core exercises for joint-sensitive populations, Breathwork and pelvic floor engagement in postpartum core training, Safety and progression guidelines for all demographics.

Module 6: Program Design, Assessment, and Professional Practice: Creating customized core training programs for various goals, Incorporating core into warm-ups, main workouts, and cooldowns, Tools for assessing progress: endurance tests, stability checks, and movement quality, Teaching and cueing effective core engagement during exercises, Designing core circuits, intervals, and standalone core classes, Continuing education, certification options, and business applications in core fitness training.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
