Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Chronic Diseases and Exercise Physiology: Overview of chronic diseases and global health impact, Pathophysiology of common chronic conditions (diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, etc.), Benefits of physical activity in chronic disease prevention and management, Exercise physiology adaptations in clinical populations, Role and scope of a Chronic Disease Exercise Specialist, Safety and risk stratification before prescribing exercise.

Module 2: Exercise Prescription for Cardiometabolic Conditions: Exercise guidelines for type 1 and type 2 diabetes, Designing programs for hypertension and dyslipidemia, Exercise considerations for obesity and metabolic syndrome, Monitoring blood glucose and cardiovascular response during exercise, Lifestyle interventions and behavior change support, Nutritional synergy with exercise in metabolic control.

Module 3: Exercise Programming for Cardiopulmonary Disorders: Physical activity for coronary artery disease and heart failure, Exercise testing and cardiac rehab protocols, Exercise strategies for COPD and asthma patients, Breathing exercises and pulmonary rehabilitation techniques, Oxygen saturation monitoring and safe intensity zones, Progression and maintenance in cardiopulmonary patients.

Module 4: Musculoskeletal and Neurological Conditions: Exercise adaptations for arthritis, osteoporosis, and low back pain, Resistance and flexibility training for joint protection, Exercise guidelines for stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis, Fall prevention and balance training for elderly clients, Postural control and neuromuscular re-education, Managing fatigue and movement limitations.

Module 5: Behavior Modification and Psychosocial Support: Motivational interviewing and client-centered coaching, Addressing exercise barriers and chronic illness stigma, Goal setting, adherence strategies, and self-monitoring tools, Mental health and stress management through exercise, Communication with clients, caregivers, and healthcare teams, Cultural sensitivity and client empowerment in chronic care.

Module 6: Professional Practice, Ethics, and Program Development: Developing safe and effective chronic disease exercise programs, Pre-participation screening and documentation (PAR-Q, medical clearance), Collaboration with physicians, physiotherapists, and specialists, Legal responsibilities, ethics, and scope of practice, Tracking outcomes and reporting client progress, Career opportunities and continuing education in clinical fitness fields.

  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
