Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Patient Safety and Healthcare Quality: Concepts and principles of patient safety, Evolution of patient safety in healthcare systems, Role and responsibilities of a Patient Safety Officer, Understanding healthcare quality and safety culture, Key patient safety terminologies and frameworks, Importance of patient-centered care.

Module 2: Identifying and Managing Safety Risks: Techniques for identifying safety hazards in healthcare settings, Risk assessment tools and methods (FMEA, RCA), Event and incident reporting systems, Classification of adverse events and near misses, Analyzing safety data for decision-making, Prioritizing and mitigating identified risks.

Module 3: Clinical Governance and Regulatory Standards: Overview of clinical governance and accountability, National and international patient safety standards (WHO, NABH, JCI), Accreditation requirements and compliance management, Legal and ethical issues in patient safety, Role of leadership in promoting safety culture, Clinical audit and quality assurance.

Module 4: Communication, Teamwork, and Safety Culture: Importance of effective communication in patient safety, Strategies for building a just and transparent culture, TeamSTEPPS and interprofessional collaboration, Handoffs and transitions of care safety practices, Patient and family engagement in safety, Addressing human factors and system errors.

Module 5: Tools and Strategies for Patient Safety Improvement: Implementation of patient safety protocols and checklists, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective action planning, Safety dashboards and use of performance indicators, Medication safety, infection control, and fall prevention, Technology and innovation in patient safety (EHRs, alerts), Monitoring safety interventions and sustaining improvements.
