Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Concept Artist course aims to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in the field of concept art for entertainment industries such as video games, film, and animation. This course focuses on developing proficiency in visual storytelling, character design, environment creation, and prop development using traditional and digital art tools. Students will learn fundamentals of anatomy, perspective, color theory, and composition, alongside advanced techniques in digital painting and 3D modeling integration.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Concept Art: Introduction to Concept Art, Visual Storytelling Basics, Elements and Principles of Design, Color Theory and Application, Understanding Light and Shadow, Composition Techniques.

Module 2: Drawing and Illustration Skills: Gesture Drawing and Anatomy Basics, Perspective and Proportions, Sketching Techniques, Line Work and Inking, Rendering Textures and Materials, Digital vs Traditional Drawing Tools.

Module 3: Character Design: Character Archetypes and Silhouettes, Anatomy for Characters, Costume and Clothing Design, Expression and Emotion, Designing Creatures and Monsters, Character Turnarounds and Model Sheets.

Module 4: Environment and Prop Design: Environment Types and Mood Setting, Landscape Composition, Architectural Concepts, Designing Props and Vehicles, Texturing Environments, Creating Mood Boards and Thumbnails.

Module 5: Digital Tools and Software: Introduction to Photoshop and Procreate, Using Brushes and Layers Effectively, 3D Basics for Concept Artists, Texture Painting Techniques, Workflow Optimization, Integrating Traditional and Digital Media.

Module 6: Professional Practice and Portfolio Development: Concept Art Pipeline and Collaboration, Client Communication and Brief Interpretation, Time Management and Deadlines, Critique and Iteration Process, Portfolio Building and Presentation, Career Opportunities and Industry Trends.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
