Objective: The Certified Digital Environment Artist course aims to equip students with comprehensive skills and knowledge to design, create, and optimize highly detailed and immersive digital environments for games, films, and virtual reality applications. It covers fundamental and advanced techniques in 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering, alongside the use of industry-standard software such as Unreal Engine, Unity, Maya, and Substance Painter.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Digital Environment Art: Fundamentals of Environment Art, Understanding 3D Space and Scale, Overview of Industry Tools (Maya, Blender, Unreal Engine), Concept Art and Moodboarding, Art Styles and Visual Storytelling, Basic Principles of Composition and Lighting.

Module 2: Modeling Techniques for Environments: Low-Poly vs High-Poly Modeling, Hard Surface Modeling, Organic Environment Modeling, Modular Asset Creation, Sculpting Basics with ZBrush, Optimization Techniques for Game Engines.

Module 3: Texturing and Materials: UV Mapping Fundamentals, Creating Textures with Substance Painter, PBR Workflow Explained, Procedural Texturing Techniques, Material Setup in Unreal Engine/Unity, Decals and Detail Texturing.

Module 4: Lighting and Rendering: Types of Lighting in Digital Environments, Lighting Setup for Realism, Using Lightmaps and Global Illumination, HDRI and Environmental Lighting, Post-Processing Effects, Rendering Techniques and Output Settings.

Module 5: Environment Design and Layout: Level Design Principles, Creating Natural Environments (Forests, Mountains, Rivers), Urban and Architectural Environment Design, Composition and Visual Flow, Storytelling through Environment, Integrating Assets into Scene.

Module 6: Advanced Techniques and Portfolio Development: Dynamic and Interactive Environments, Environment Animation and Effects (Particles, Weather), Optimization for Real-Time Rendering, Troubleshooting Common Issues, Portfolio Building and Presentation, Industry Best Practices and Career Guidance.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
