Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The objective of the Certified Photographer course is to provide comprehensive training in photography fundamentals, including camera operation, lighting, composition, editing, and visual storytelling. The course also emphasizes practical application through hands-on assignments and projects, preparing students for various photography careers such as portrait, commercial, event, and fine art photography. It aims to develop both artistic vision and business acumen, ensuring graduates are capable of working professionally or launching their own photography ventures.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Photography: History of photography, Types of cameras and formats, Exposure triangle (ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture), White balance and metering modes, Understanding lenses and focal length, Image resolution and file formats.

Module 2: Camera Operations and Techniques: Manual mode shooting, Focus modes and autofocus points, Depth of field control, Composition techniques (Rule of Thirds, Leading Lines), Using filters (ND, polarizer, UV), Using histogram and image review.

Module 3: Lighting and Flash Photography: Types of light (natural vs artificial), Light direction and quality, Introduction to flash and strobes, Using reflectors and diffusers, White balance correction with lighting, High-speed sync and off-camera flash.

Module 4: Portrait and Event Photography: Posing techniques and facial expressions, Indoor vs outdoor portraits, Using backgrounds and props, Event photography workflow, Capturing candid vs posed moments, Managing group photos and lighting.

Module 5: Post-Processing and Editing: Basic editing in Lightroom and Photoshop, Color correction and enhancement, Retouching portraits and skin, RAW vs JPEG processing, Image cropping and aspect ratios, Exporting and file management.

Module 6: Business of Photography: Building a portfolio, Marketing and branding strategies, Client communication and contracts, Pricing and packages, Licensing and copyright, Social media and online presence.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
