Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Cinematographer course aims to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in the art and science of cinematography. It covers fundamental concepts such as camera operation, lighting techniques, composition, color theory, lens selection, and shot planning. The course also emphasizes storytelling through visual imagery, mastering camera movement, and understanding the technical aspects of digital and film cameras.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Cinematography: History of Cinematography, Basic Camera Types and Functions, Understanding Film vs Digital, Introduction to Lenses and Optics, Exposure Triangle (ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture), Frame Rates and Resolution.

Module 2: Camera Operation and Techniques: Camera Setup and Maintenance, Manual Focus and Zoom Techniques, Using Camera Support Systems (Tripods, Dollies, Steadicams), Composition and Framing Rules, Depth of Field Control, Movement and Camera Angles.

Module 3: Lighting for Cinematography: Types of Lighting Equipment, Three-Point Lighting Setup, Natural vs Artificial Light, Color Temperature and White Balance, Lighting for Mood and Atmosphere, Controlling Shadows and Highlights.

Module 4: Color Theory and Image Composition: Color Theory Basics, Color Grading and Correction, Using Filters and Gels, Visual Storytelling through Composition, Rule of Thirds and Leading Lines, Balancing Color and Contrast.

Module 5: Advanced Cinematography Techniques: Shooting for Different Genres (Drama, Action, Documentary), Working with Green Screens and Visual Effects, High-Speed and Slow Motion Shooting, Multi-Camera Coordination, Using Drones and Aerial Cinematography, Night and Low-Light Cinematography.

Module 6: Post-Production and Industry Practices: Introduction to Editing Software, Workflow from Shoot to Final Cut, Collaborating with Directors and Crew, Understanding Distribution Formats, Legal and Ethical Considerations, Building a Cinematography Portfolio and Career Development.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
