Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The Certified Hazardous Materials Transport Specialist course is designed to equip professionals with the specialized knowledge and skills required for the safe, compliant, and efficient transport of hazardous materials (HAZMAT) across various modes—road, rail, air, and sea. The course covers classification and labeling of hazardous substances, packaging and documentation requirements, handling procedures, emergency response planning, spill prevention, and international regulations such as ADR, IMDG, IATA-DGR, and OSHA standards.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Introduction to Hazardous Materials Transport: Definition and Classification of Hazardous Materials, Importance of Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods, Roles and Responsibilities of a Hazmat Transport Specialist, Overview of Global and National Hazmat Transport Regulations, Common Risks and Incidents in Hazmat Logistics, Modes of Transport for Hazardous Materials.
Module 2: Regulations and Compliance Standards: International Regulations (UN, IMO, ICAO, ADR, IATA), National Transport and Environmental Regulations, Hazard Communication Standards (GHS, SDS), Licensing and Permit Requirements, Training and Certification Requirements, Documentation and Record-Keeping for Compliance.
Module 3: Packaging, Labeling, and Marking Requirements: UN Packaging Standards and Codes, Selection of Appropriate Containers and Packaging Materials, Labeling and Marking Guidelines for Different Classes, Placarding for Road, Rail, Air and Sea Transport, Leak-Proofing and Sealing Techniques, Inspection and Testing of Packaging.
Module 4: Handling, Storage, and Loading Procedures: Safe Handling Techniques for Hazardous Substances, Segregation and Compatibility of Hazardous Goods, Storage Requirements and Ventilation Standards, Loading and Unloading Best Practices, Use of PPE and Emergency Equipment, Spill Prevention and Containment Procedures.
Module 5: Transport Operations and Risk Management: Route Planning and Risk Assessment for Hazmat Transport, Vehicle and Equipment Requirements, Driver Safety and Training Programs, Emergency Response Planning and Coordination, Accident Reporting and Incident Investigation, Case Studies on Hazmat Transport Failures.
Module 6: Emergency Preparedness and Security Measures: Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG) Usage, Fire, Explosion and Chemical Exposure Protocols, First Responder Roles and Coordination, Security Plans Against Theft, Diversion, or Sabotage, Post-Incident Clean-up and Reporting, Continuous Improvement and Audit Readiness.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
