Objective: The Certified Warehouse & Logistics Manager course is designed to equip participants with comprehensive skills to oversee both warehousing and logistics functions in alignment with organizational supply chain strategies. The course covers warehouse layout and design, inventory control, order fulfillment, material handling, and storage optimization. It also includes logistics planning, transportation management, carrier selection, distribution network design, freight cost control, and last-mile delivery.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Warehousing and Logistics Operations: Overview of warehousing and logistics in the supply chain, Types of warehouses and logistics networks: 3PL, 4PL, distribution centers, Key responsibilities of a Warehouse & Logistics Manager, Inbound and outbound logistics coordination, Core warehouse functions: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, Compliance with legal, safety, and quality standards.

Module 2: Inventory Management and Space Utilization: Inventory control techniques: FIFO, LIFO, ABC, JIT, FEFO, Stock audits, cycle counting, and reconciliation practices, Optimizing space: racking systems, slotting, and layout planning, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP integration, Forecasting and demand planning alignment with inventory levels, Dealing with obsolete, excess, and slow-moving stock.

Module 3: Transportation and Distribution Management: Modes of transport: road, rail, air, sea – selection and cost analysis, Route planning, freight consolidation, and load optimization, Carrier selection and contract negotiation, Last-mile delivery strategies and tracking, Reverse logistics and returns handling processes, Use of Transportation Management Systems (TMS).

Module 4: Material Handling Equipment and Technology Integration: Types of material handling equipment and their applications, Safe operation and maintenance of forklifts, conveyors, AS/RS, Role of automation and robotics in warehouse efficiency, Barcode, RFID, and IoT-based real-time tracking systems, Data analytics and dashboards for decision-making, Planning for scalable and tech-enabled infrastructure.

Module 5: Human Resource Management and Compliance: Staff planning, recruitment, training, and performance evaluation, Labor law compliance, workplace safety, and ergonomics, Team leadership, motivation, and conflict resolution, Shift scheduling and workload balancing, Health and safety practices, emergency response protocols, Conducting meetings, briefings, and team reviews.

Module 6: Cost Optimization, KPIs, and Continuous Improvement: Budgeting and cost control in warehouse and logistics operations, Identifying and eliminating non-value-added activities, Key performance indicators: order accuracy, cycle time, OTIF, shrinkage, Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S for process improvement, Sustainability practices in warehousing and transport, Capstone project: develop a comprehensive warehouse and logistics improvement strategy with measurable KPIs.

  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
