Objective: The Certified Fire Safety Officer course is designed to provide in-depth training on fire prevention, protection, and emergency response management in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. The course covers fire behavior, risk assessment, fire detection and suppression systems (e.g., alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers), evacuation planning, safety drills, and fire safety audits. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Fire Safety and Fire Behavior: Basics of fire science: combustion, fire triangle, and spread dynamics, Classification of fire types (A, B, C, D, K), Stages of fire development and behavior in different environments, Impact of fire on human safety and property, Role and responsibilities of a Fire Safety Officer, Overview of fire safety legislation, codes, and standards (NBC, NFPA, IS).

Module 2: Fire Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment: Techniques for identifying fire hazards in industrial, commercial, and residential settings, Fire load calculation and risk categorization, Risk assessment tools and methods (HIRA, JSA), Evaluating control measures for identified hazards, Maintaining hazard registers and fire safety records, Integration of risk assessment into workplace safety systems.

Module 3: Fire Prevention and Protection Systems: Active fire protection systems: fire extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, alarms, Passive fire protection systems: fire-rated walls, doors, dampers, Emergency lighting, exit signage, and escape route planning, Fire detection and suppression technologies (CO₂, foam, clean agents), Inspection and maintenance of fire protection equipment, Fire safety design in buildings and infrastructure.

Module 4: Emergency Preparedness and Response Planning: Components of an effective fire emergency plan, Roles and duties of fire wardens and evacuation team members, Conducting fire drills, mock exercises, and evacuation simulations, Emergency communication systems and control room coordination, Assembly point setup and accountability procedures, Liaising with fire departments and emergency responders.

Module 5: Fire Safety Training and Public Awareness: Planning and delivering fire safety training for staff and occupants, Demonstrating use of fire extinguishers and suppression systems, Promoting fire safety culture through awareness programs, Preparing fire safety posters, signs, and educational materials, Involving employees in fire prevention initiatives, Evaluating training effectiveness and participation.

Module 6: Fire Safety Audits, Compliance, and Reporting: Conducting internal fire safety audits and inspections, Compliance with legal and regulatory fire safety norms, Documentation of fire incidents, inspections, and maintenance, Preparing reports and action plans for management review, Investigating fire incidents and recommending corrective measures, Case studies and lessons learned from major fire events.

  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
