The course covers risk assessment, occupant load analysis, evacuation route design, emergency signage, assembly point planning, special needs accommodation, and coordination with first responders.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Emergency Evacuation Planning and Coordinator Role: Importance of evacuation planning in safety management, Roles and responsibilities of an Evacuation Planning Coordinator, Types of emergencies requiring evacuation (fire, chemical, natural disasters, bomb threats), Understanding human behavior during emergencies, Legal and regulatory requirements for evacuation planning, Overview of emergency preparedness frameworks and standards.

Module 2: Risk Assessment and Site Hazard Identification: Conducting hazard identification for various emergency scenarios, Vulnerability analysis of premises, population, and infrastructure, Risk assessment methodologies specific to evacuation, Mapping of high-risk zones and bottlenecks, Integration of fire safety, security, and environmental risks into planning, Documentation of findings and site-specific challenges.

Module 3: Evacuation Plan Design and Route Mapping: Designing evacuation plans tailored to occupancy and building layout, Defining escape routes, emergency exits, and assembly points, Evacuation route signage and lighting requirements, Special considerations for high-rise buildings, hospitals, schools, and industries, Inclusion of persons with disabilities in evacuation planning, Coordination with fire protection and alarm systems.

Module 4: Roles, Responsibilities, and Communication Protocols: Establishing evacuation teams (wardens, guides, first aiders), Assigning roles and duties during drills and actual emergencies, Use of public address systems, radios, and emergency alerts, Communication protocols during multi-floor or multi-building evacuations, Coordination with emergency services (fire, police, medical), Chain of command and accountability systems.

Module 5: Evacuation Drills, Training, and Community Awareness: Planning and conducting mock evacuation drills, Frequency and evaluation criteria for drills, Training employees, residents, and stakeholders in evacuation procedures, Handling panic and crowd control, Feedback collection and continuous improvement post-drill, Promoting emergency awareness through campaigns and sessions.

Module 6: Documentation, Compliance, and Post-Evacuation Review: Legal and regulatory documentation requirements, Maintaining evacuation plans, attendance logs, and drill records, Compliance with building codes and safety audits, Post-evacuation debriefing and incident analysis, Review and revision of evacuation plans based on lessons learned, Case studies on successful and failed evacuations for learning outcomes.

  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
