Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Textile Chemical Tester course aims to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in performing chemical tests on textile materials and finished products. The course covers chemical composition analysis, fiber identification, testing for dyes and finishes, colorfastness tests, pH measurement, and detection of harmful substances in compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 2: Chemical Testing Techniques and Equipment: Introduction to Chemical Testing Methods (Physical vs. Chemical Testing), Types of Testing Equipment (Spectrophotometers, pH Meters, Viscometers, etc.), Laboratory Setup and Safety Procedures, Conducting Solubility, Fastness, and Absorbency Tests, Sample Preparation and Handling for Chemical Tests, Calibration and Maintenance of Testing Equipment.

Module 3: Dye and Color Fastness Testing: Overview of Dyeing and Printing Processes in Textiles, Testing Dye Fastness (Light, Washing, Rubbing, and Perspiration Fastness), Methods for Testing Color Consistency and Migration, pH Testing and Its Impact on Dyeing, Testing for Dye Affinity and Exhaustion, Evaluating the Effectiveness of Different Dyeing Techniques.

Module 4: Chemical Properties of Fabrics and Finishes: Testing for Chemical Residues in Fabrics (Formaldehyde, Heavy Metals, Azo Dyes), Assessing Fabric Finishes (Water-Repellent, Flame Retardant, Anti-microbial, etc.), Chemical Testing for Fabric Durability (Shrinkage, Stretching, Abrasion Resistance), Testing for Eco-friendly or Non-toxic Finishes, Understanding Chemical Reactions During Textile Processing, Role of Chemical Testing in Compliance with Industry Standards.
