Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Advanced Masonry course is to develop advanced skills and knowledge in masonry construction, including brick, stone, and concrete block work. The course covers complex masonry techniques, interpreting architectural plans, material selection, structural integrity, and finishing methods. Participants will also learn project management skills such as supervising masonry crews, quality assurance, safety compliance, and coordinating with other construction trades.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Advanced Masonry Materials and Tools: Types of masonry materials (brick, block, stone, mortar), Properties and selection criteria, Advanced mixing techniques for mortar and grout, Specialized masonry tools and equipment, Maintenance and safety of tools, Material handling and storage practices.

Module 2: Masonry Construction Techniques: Laying patterns and bond types, Constructing load-bearing and non-load-bearing walls, Building arches, columns, and pilasters, Installation of lintels and reinforcements, Techniques for waterproofing and insulation, Quality control and workmanship standards.

Module 3: Reading and Interpreting Masonry Plans: Understanding architectural and structural drawings, Masonry details and specifications, Measurement and layout techniques, Use of levels, plumb lines, and lasers, Calculating quantities and estimating materials, Communication with project managers and other trades.

Module 4: Supervisory and Leadership Skills: Planning and organizing masonry work, Assigning tasks and managing crew productivity, Training and mentoring junior masons, Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, Conflict resolution and team communication, Reporting and documentation procedures.

Module 5: Safety and Compliance in Masonry: Jobsite hazard identification and risk assessment, Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), Scaffold erection and fall protection, Handling hazardous materials (silica dust, chemicals), Emergency response and first aid, Compliance with OSHA and local regulations.

Module 6: Maintenance and Repair of Masonry Structures: Diagnosing common masonry defects and damages, Techniques for repair and restoration, Cleaning and sealing masonry surfaces, Use of appropriate repair materials and methods, Preservation of historical masonry, Documentation of maintenance work.

• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
