Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent.

Duration: Three Months.

Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Formwork Installation and Removal course is to equip participants with the technical knowledge and hands-on skills required to safely and efficiently design, assemble, and dismantle formwork systems for concrete structures. The course covers types of formwork, materials, load calculations, installation techniques, safety protocols, and quality assurance.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of the online assessment, the soft copy of your certificate will be sent to your registered email ID within 5 days.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Formwork Technology: Overview of formwork and its importance, Types of formwork systems, Materials used in formwork, Basic principles of formwork design, Roles and responsibilities of a formwork technician, Safety considerations in formwork.

Module 2: Formwork Design and Planning: Understanding formwork drawings and specifications, Load considerations and structural support, Designing formwork for slabs, beams, columns, and walls, Formwork components and accessories, Planning formwork erection and dismantling, Coordination with other trades.

Module 3: Formwork Materials and Equipment: Properties of timber, steel, aluminum, and plastic formwork, Selection criteria for formwork materials, Handling and storage of formwork materials, Tools and equipment for formwork installation, Maintenance of formwork equipment, Quality control of materials.

Module 4: Formwork Erection Techniques: Site preparation and layout, Assembly procedures for various formwork types, Aligning and leveling formwork, Securing and bracing formwork, Installation of reinforcement within formwork, Ensuring safety during erection.

Module 5: Concrete Pouring and Formwork Removal: Procedures for concrete placement and compaction, Monitoring formwork during concreting, Vibration and curing considerations, Timing and methods of formwork stripping, Handling and storage after removal, Inspecting and repairing formwork for reuse.

Module 6: Safety and Quality Management in Formwork: Risk assessment and hazard control, Personal protective equipment (PPE) in formwork operations, Compliance with safety regulations, Quality assurance and inspection processes, Reporting and documentation, Continuous improvement and training.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
