Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified 2D Animator course is designed to provide comprehensive training in the principles and techniques of 2D animation. The course aims to develop students’ artistic and technical abilities through instruction in traditional and digital animation methods, character design, storyboarding, motion and timing, and software such as Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, or equivalent. By the end of the course, learners will be able to conceptualize, design, and produce high-quality 2D animation projects, preparing them for careers in animation studios, game development, advertising, and multimedia production.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to 2D Animation: History and evolution of animation, Principles of 2D animation, Introduction to animation software, Understanding frame-by-frame animation, Animation workflow and pipeline, Overview of animation careers.

Module 2: Drawing and Design Fundamentals: Basic shapes and structure, Human and animal anatomy basics, Gesture drawing and poses, Character design principles, Background and layout design, Color theory and lighting.

Module 3: Digital Illustration and Tools: Raster vs vector graphics, Introduction to digital tablets, Layer management techniques, Creating digital assets, Brush tools and settings, File formats and resolution.

Module 4: Character Animation Techniques: Creating keyframes and in-betweens, Lip-sync and facial expressions, Walk cycles and run cycles, Squash and stretch application, Anticipation and follow-through, Secondary motion.

Module 5: Scene Composition and Storyboarding: Elements of visual storytelling, Framing and camera angles, Creating storyboards and animatics, Scene transitions and pacing, Dialogue and action timing, Script to storyboard workflow.

Module 6: Post-Production and Portfolio Development: Sound synchronization, Editing and compositing basics, Rendering final output, Adding effects and final polish, Creating a professional showreel, Preparing portfolio for industry.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
