Objective:The Certified 5S Implementation Supervisor course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and leadership skills necessary to oversee the systematic application of the 5S methodology—Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain—in industrial, manufacturing, and office environments. The course covers each 5S phase in detail, visual management techniques, waste reduction, workplace safety integration, employee involvement, and continuous improvement practices. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to 5S and Role of the Supervisor: Overview of 5S methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain), History and origin of 5S in lean manufacturing, Importance of workplace organization and visual control, Benefits of 5S on safety, productivity, and morale, Roles and responsibilities of a 5S Implementation Supervisor, Common challenges in 5S implementation.

Module 2: Sort (Seiri) – Elimination of the Unnecessary: Principles of sorting and identifying non-essential items, Red-tagging process and red tag area management, Categorization and disposition of unnecessary items, Employee involvement in sorting decisions, Creating checklists and area maps, Documenting sorting results and improvements.

Module 3: Set in Order (Seiton) – Organize for Efficiency: Determining optimal location for tools and materials, Labeling, signage, and shadow boards for visual control, Creating designated places for items to avoid search time, Workstation layout design for minimal motion waste, Use of floor markings and storage standards, Implementing and auditing the “Set in Order” phase.

Module 4: Shine (Seiso) – Cleaning and Inspection: Daily cleaning schedules and task assignments, Identifying sources of contamination and eliminating root causes, Integration of inspection with cleaning activities, Using visual cues to maintain cleanliness standards, Involving all employees in the shine process, Tools and techniques for deep cleaning and inspection.

Module 5: Standardize (Seiketsu) – Create Consistency: Developing visual standards and SOPs for 5S tasks, Use of 5S audit checklists and scorecards, Creating 5S boards and communication centers, Ensuring consistency across shifts and departments, Supervisor’s role in standardization and documentation, Training staff on 5S best practices and expectations.

Module 6: Sustain (Shitsuke) – Culture and Continuous Improvement: Techniques to reinforce 5S habits and discipline, Conducting regular 5S audits and feedback sessions, Recognition and reward systems for 5S compliance, Engaging leadership and building accountability, Continuous improvement through Kaizen and Gemba walks, Measuring 5S performance and reporting progress to management.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
