Objective: The objective of the Certified Academic Publisher (CAP) course is to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the world of academic publishing. Participants will gain insights into the various processes involved in publishing scholarly work, from manuscript submission to final publication. The course covers critical aspects such as peer review, copyright laws, ethical issues, editorial responsibilities, and digital publishing trends.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 2: Editorial Process and Peer Review: The editorial process explained, types of peer review systems, responsibilities of editors and reviewers, managing conflicts of interest, manuscript submission and selection, ensuring quality and integrity in research publications.

Module 3: Copyright, Licensing, and Intellectual Property: Understanding copyright laws in publishing, types of intellectual property, open access publishing, licensing agreements, the impact of copyright infringement, navigating copyright for authors and publishers.

Module 4: Marketing and Distribution of Academic Publications: Strategies for marketing academic publications, the role of social media in academic publishing, building relationships with libraries and institutions, distribution channels for academic books and journals, promoting research visibility, strategies for increasing citations and impact factor.

Module 5: Research Ethics and Integrity: Principles of research ethics, managing plagiarism and self-plagiarism, ethical issues in publication, author and publisher responsibility, ensuring transparency and fairness in publishing, handling retractions and corrections.

Module 6: Financial and Business Aspects of Academic Publishing: Revenue models in academic publishing, understanding the costs of publication, business aspects of academic journals, the economics of academic book publishing, financial sustainability in publishing, navigating partnerships and collaborations in the publishing sector.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
