The course focuses on understanding the entire patient flow, from admission assessment to discharge planning, while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, patient safety protocols, and insurance policies.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Hospital Admission and Discharge: Overview of admission and discharge processes, Roles and responsibilities of an admission & discharge coordinator, Types of patient admissions, Legal and regulatory framework in patient management, Importance of patient-centered care, Ethical and professional standards in healthcare coordination

Module 2: Patient Admission Process: Pre-admission procedures and documentation, Patient registration and verification, Insurance and payment authorization, Coordination with clinical teams, Patient orientation and initial assessment, Managing special admissions and emergency cases

Module 3: Patient Discharge Process: Discharge planning and preparation, Coordination with medical and nursing staff, Patient education and counseling, Documentation and discharge summaries, Scheduling follow-up appointments, Handling special discharge cases and referrals

Module 4: Communication and Patient Interaction: Effective communication with patients and families, Managing patient expectations and queries, Cultural sensitivity and patient empathy, Handling complaints and conflicts, Coordination between departments, Ensuring patient satisfaction and comfort

Module 5: Administrative and Financial Management: Maintaining admission and discharge records, Billing and reconciliation processes, Insurance claim support and coordination, Resource allocation and workflow optimization, Compliance with hospital policies and regulations, Reporting and performance monitoring

Module 6: Technology and Quality Improvement: Use of hospital information systems for admission and discharge, Electronic medical records (EMR) management, Data collection and reporting for operational efficiency, Quality assurance and continuous improvement, Risk management in patient transitions, Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs)
