Certification Name: Certified Airport Hospitality Assistant (Lounges, VIP)

Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/HT/CAHA/V1

Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Airport Hospitality Assistant course is designed to train professionals in providing exceptional service and operational support within airport lounges and VIP areas. The course covers customer service excellence, airport protocols, lounge operations, guest handling, VIP etiquette, safety and security procedures, and communication skills.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Airport & Aviation Industry Overview: history and growth of aviation, types of airports and their classifications, roles of airport authorities and ground‑handling agencies, overview of airline operations and alliances, international vs domestic airport standards and regulations, passenger traffic flow and airport zones

Module 2: Airport Lounge & VIP Services Fundamentals: types of lounges and VIP services (business, first‑class, transit, VIP meet‑and‑assist), eligibility and access criteria, lounge layout and facilities (seating, F&B, workspaces, rest areas), guest arrival and welcome protocols, passenger privacy and confidentiality standards, coordination with airlines and ground‑handling staff

Module 3: Guest Handling, Customer Service & Etiquette: passenger greeting and escorting, check‑in and verification procedures for VIPs, handling special requests (assistance for elderly/disabled, unaccompanied minors, families), conflict resolution and complaint handling, cross‑cultural sensitivity and multilingual communication, maintaining professionalism and appearance standards

Module 4: Food, Beverage & Hospitality Operations in Lounge: menu planning and meal service types (snacks, hot meals, beverages), dietary restrictions and special dietary requests, food safety and hygiene standards, beverage service (hot drinks, cold drinks, alcohol if applicable) and responsible service, table or buffet service procedures, guest preferences and dietary record‑keeping

Module 5: Safety, Security & Compliance at Airport: airport security regulations and passenger screening procedures, access control and restricted‑area permissions, passenger privacy and data protection, emergency protocols (medical emergencies, fire, evacuation), safe handling of luggage and passenger belongings, coordination with security, customs and immigration officers

Module 6: Supervisory Skills, Communication & Operations Coordination: coordinating with airline, ground‑handling, and lounge staff teams, time management and shift‑handover procedures, use of airport management systems/PMS for guest tracking, communication with stakeholders (airlines, security, housekeeping), reporting and documentation (guest logs, incident reports, service feedback), continuous improvement and quality assurance in guest services

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
