Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Participants will explore ergonomic principles related to garment design, manufacturing processes, and workplace environments.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Module 1: Introduction to Apparel Ergonomics: Overview of Ergonomics in the Apparel Industry, Importance of Ergonomics for Worker Health and Safety, Key Principles of Ergonomics in Clothing Manufacturing, Ergonomics and Human Factors, Ergonomics in Apparel Design and Production, Relationship Between Ergonomics and Worker Productivity.

Module 2: Ergonomic Risks in Apparel Manufacturing: Identifying Common Ergonomic Hazards in Apparel Factories, Workstation Design and Layout, Repetitive Motion Injuries (RMI) and Prevention, Manual Handling and Lifting Techniques, Risk Factors in Sewing and Cutting Operations, Fatigue and Stress Management in Apparel Manufacturing.

Module 3: Ergonomics in Garment Design: Principles of Ergonomic Garment Design, Designing Garments for Comfort and Flexibility, Material Selection and Ergonomics, Fit and Size Considerations for Ergonomic Comfort, User-Centered Design in Apparel, Integration of Ergonomic Features in Clothing (Stretch Panels, Adjustability, etc.).

Module 4: Workplace Ergonomics and Layout Optimization: Ergonomic Workstation Design for Apparel Production, Optimal Lighting, Seating, and Tool Placement, Designing Efficient and Comfortable Workspaces for Garment Manufacturing, Flow of Work and Preventing Overexertion, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Ergonomics, Addressing Issues Related to Repetitive Tasks and Work Cycles.

Module 5: Ergonomics Assessment and Evaluation Methods: Conducting Ergonomic Risk Assessments in Apparel Manufacturing, Methods for Evaluating Worker Postures and Movements, Tools and Techniques for Ergonomic Analysis (REBA, RULA, OWAS), Identifying and Correcting Ergonomic Risks, Collecting Data and Measuring Ergonomic Improvements, Implementing Ergonomic Interventions in the Workplace.

Module 6: Ergonomics and Health Promotion in Apparel Industry: Promoting Worker Health and Well-being through Ergonomics, Developing Ergonomic Training Programs for Workers, Ergonomics and Injury Prevention Strategies, Evaluating the Effectiveness of Ergonomics Programs, Integrating Ergonomics into Organizational Culture, Future Trends in Apparel Ergonomics and Technology.
