Objective: The Certified Apparel Pattern Maker course is designed to provide students with comprehensive technical skills and knowledge to create precise and functional garment patterns. The course covers fundamental and advanced pattern-making techniques including drafting, draping, grading, and alterations for various types of apparel. Students will learn to interpret design sketches, apply measurements accurately, and develop patterns that ensure proper fit and style.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Pattern Making: History and importance of pattern making, Types of patterns (block, sloper, draping), Understanding garment construction, Basic sewing terminology, Tools and equipment used in pattern making, Safety practices in the workspace.

Module 2: Body Measurement and Sizing: Taking accurate body measurements, Standard sizing systems, Measurement charts and their applications, Understanding fit and ease, Adjusting patterns for different body shapes, Creating custom measurement templates.

Module 3: Drafting Basic Patterns: Drafting basic bodice block, Drafting basic skirt block, Drafting basic sleeve block, Creating collar and cuff patterns, Introduction to darts and seam allowances, Pattern symbols and markings.

Module 4: Pattern Manipulation and Design Development: Adding style lines and design details, Pattern grading techniques, Creating variations from basic blocks, Understanding fullness and gathers, Adding pleats, darts, and gathers, Pattern alterations and corrections.

Module 5: Draping Techniques: Introduction to draping on dress forms, Fabric selection for draping, Draping bodice and skirt designs, Translating draped designs into flat patterns, Draping collars and sleeves, Troubleshooting common draping issues.

Module 6: Advanced Pattern Making and Industry Practices: Using CAD software for pattern making, Marker making and fabric utilization, Pattern production for mass manufacturing, Quality control and inspection, Collaborating with production teams, Industry standards and professional development.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
