Objective: The Certified API Developer course is designed to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge required to design, develop, secure, and manage Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for modern software systems. The course covers the full API development lifecycle, including RESTful and GraphQL API design, OpenAPI/Swagger documentation, API versioning, authentication and authorization (OAuth 2.0, JWT), and performance optimization. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to APIs and API Development: Understanding what APIs are and their types (REST, SOAP, GraphQL), Importance of APIs in modern software development, Client-server architecture and stateless communication, Key concepts: endpoints, methods, headers, status codes, Overview of RESTful API design principles, Tools and environments for API development.

Module 2: RESTful API Design and Best Practices: Resource naming conventions and URL structure, HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, PATCH), Request and response formats (JSON, XML), Designing request parameters and pagination, Versioning strategies for APIs, Error handling and standard status codes.

Module 3: API Development with Popular Frameworks: Building APIs using Node.js with Express, Developing APIs using Python Flask/Django REST Framework, Java Spring Boot for API creation, Creating secure endpoints with authentication, Middleware and routing concepts, Structuring projects for scalable APIs.

Module 4: API Security and Authentication: Understanding API security threats and vulnerabilities, Implementing API keys and tokens, OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect, JWT (JSON Web Token) authentication, Rate limiting and throttling, CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) policies.

Module 5: API Testing, Documentation and Monitoring: Manual testing with Postman and automated API testing tools, Writing test scripts for requests and responses, Generating and maintaining API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI), Version control and changelog practices, Monitoring API usage and uptime, Logging and error tracking.

Module 6: API Integration, Deployment and Lifecycle Management: Consuming third-party APIs and integration techniques, API gateways and management platforms (e.g., Apigee, AWS API Gateway), Deploying APIs on cloud platforms (Heroku, AWS, Azure), CI/CD pipelines for API deployment, Managing API lifecycle and backward compatibility, Case studies and real-world API project implementation.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
