Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/YM/CAYT/V1

Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The objective of the Certified Ashtanga Yoga Trainer course is to provide a deep and disciplined foundation in the traditional Ashtanga Yoga system as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. The course is designed to develop knowledgeable and skilled instructors who can competently teach the Primary Series and understand the structure of subsequent series. Participants will study the eight limbs of yoga (Ashta–Anga), the importance of breath (ujjayi), energy locks (bandhas), and gazing points (drishti) to guide students through the set sequence with integrity and mindfulness. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Module 3: The Ashtanga Primary Series: Overview of the Ashtanga Primary Series (Yoga Chikitsa), Key Poses in the Primary Series and Their Benefits, The Structure and Flow of the Primary Series, Importance of Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) and Vinyasa, Modifying the Primary Series for Different Levels, Teaching Progressions and Safe Adjustments in the Primary Series.
