Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/HF/CAAT/V1

Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Ayurveda Assistant / Therapist course aims to provide comprehensive training in the foundational principles and therapeutic practices of Ayurveda. The course is designed to prepare individuals to assist Ayurvedic doctors and practitioners in clinical settings, wellness centers, Panchakarma units, and Ayurvedic spas. 

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Basics of Ayurveda and Its Philosophy: History and origin of Ayurveda, Concepts of Panchamahabhutas and Tridoshas, Understanding Prakriti (body constitution), Sapta Dhatus and Malas, Role of Agni and Ama in health and disease, Ethics and responsibilities of an Ayurveda assistant.

Module 2: Human Anatomy and Physiology in Ayurveda: Ayurvedic understanding of body structure and function, Concept of Sharira Rachana and Kriya Sharira, Introduction to Ayurvedic terminology and diagnosis, Dosha-Dhatu-Mala balance in body functions, Marma points and their significance, Observation and basic clinical understanding.

Module 3: Ayurvedic Therapies and Panchakarma Overview: Introduction to Panchakarma and its benefits, Abhyanga (oil massage) – procedure and importance, Swedana (steam therapy) – types and indications, Basti, Vamana, Virechana, Nasya – basic knowledge, Preparing therapy room and assisting the vaidya, Post-therapy care and precautions.

Module 4: Herbal Medicines and Home Remedies: Introduction to Ayurvedic herbs and classifications, Preparation of decoctions, churnas, oils and lepas, Use of common herbs in home remedies, Safety guidelines in herbal handling and storage, Role of Rasayana and daily regimen (Dinacharya), Assisting in medicine dispensing and documentation.

Module 5: Ayurvedic Diet and Lifestyle (Ahara & Vihara): Principles of Ayurvedic nutrition and meal timing, Dosha-specific diet planning and food qualities, Pathya-Apathya (wholesome/unwholesome food), Daily routine (Dinacharya) and seasonal routine (Ritucharya), Role of digestion and Agni in health, Assisting in dietary counselling and food preparation.

Module 6: Client Management, Hygiene and Communication: Maintaining hygiene in treatment areas, Preparing and comforting clients before and after therapy, Documentation of treatments and observations, Basic first aid and emergency protocols, Effective communication and confidentiality, Supporting Ayurveda physician in OPD/IPD settings.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
