Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/YM/CBF/V1

Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The objective of the Certified Breathwork Facilitator (General) course is to provide comprehensive training in the theory, techniques, and safe facilitation of breathwork practices for personal growth, stress reduction, and emotional healing. This course covers a variety of conscious breathing modalities, including diaphragmatic breathing, circular breathing, rebirthing, and integrative breathwork.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Breathwork: History and origins of breathwork practices, The philosophy and principles behind breathwork, The connection between breath, mind, and emotions, Overview of different breathwork modalities (e.g., conscious, transformational, circular, holotropic), The physiological impact of breath on the body and nervous system, Benefits of breathwork for stress reduction, healing, and self-awareness.

Module 2: The Science of Breath: Anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system (lungs, diaphragm, nasal passages), The autonomic nervous system and its response to breath (sympathetic vs. parasympathetic activation), How breath affects heart rate, blood pressure, and hormonal balance, The role of breath in oxygenating the body and detoxifying cells, Understanding breath patterns and their effects on mental states, Exploring the link between breathwork and brainwave states.

Module 3: Core Breathwork Techniques and Practices: Basic breathwork techniques (diaphragmatic breathing, box breathing, 4-7-8, circular breathing), Step-by-step guidance on leading transformational breathwork sessions, How to use conscious breath to create emotional release and clarity, Breathwork for relaxation and mental focus, Integrating breath with movement and sound to enhance the experience, Tailoring breathwork techniques to suit individual or group needs.

Module 4: Facilitating Breathwork Sessions: Creating a safe and supportive environment for breathwork practice, Leading individuals and groups through guided breathwork exercises, Reading and responding to the energy of the group during sessions, Techniques for helping clients release emotional blocks and stored tension, Managing challenging situations (e.g., anxiety, hyperventilation, emotional overwhelm) during breathwork, Providing post-session integration and support.

Module 5: Emotional Healing and Trauma Release through Breathwork: Understanding the role of breathwork in releasing stored trauma and unresolved emotions, Techniques for facilitating deep emotional healing through breathwork, How breathwork activates the body’s natural healing response, Supporting clients through intense emotional releases and catharsis, Managing safety and emotional boundaries in trauma-focused breathwork, Integrating breathwork into a holistic approach to healing (mind-body-spirit).

Module 6: Professional Development and Ethics of Breathwork Facilitation: Ethical considerations and professional responsibilities as a breathwork facilitator, Maintaining a strong personal practice and continuing education, Building trust and rapport with clients, Professional boundaries and confidentiality, Marketing and building a successful breathwork practice (online, in-person workshops, private sessions), Self-care and avoiding burnout in breathwork facilitation, Exploring community-building and networking within the breathwork community.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
