Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Bulk Cargo Shipping: Overview of bulk cargo types: dry bulk, liquid bulk, and breakbulk, Roles and responsibilities of a Bulk Cargo Shipping Officer, Key stakeholders in bulk cargo shipping, Regulatory framework and international conventions (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL), Bulk cargo shipping industry trends and challenges, Terminology and documentation basics.

Module 2: Vessel Types and Operations: Types of bulk carriers and tankers, Vessel design and capacity considerations, Loading and unloading procedures for bulk cargo, Stowage planning and cargo securing techniques, Ballasting operations and stability management, Coordination with ports and terminals.

Module 3: Cargo Handling and Safety Management: 
Handling characteristics of various bulk cargoes, Safety protocols for hazardous and sensitive cargoes, Use of material handling equipment and automation, Cargo sampling, inspection, and quality control, Risk assessment and hazard mitigation, Emergency response planning.

Module 4: Documentation and Regulatory Compliance: Preparation and management of shipping documents: bills of lading, manifests, and cargo declarations, Customs clearance and regulatory compliance, Dangerous goods handling and documentation, Environmental regulations and pollution control, Security protocols and screening, Recordkeeping and audit readiness.

Module 5: Communication and Coordination: Coordination with ship crew, port agents, freight forwarders, and customers, Managing schedules and voyage changes, Handling claims and disputes, Use of communication and tracking technologies, Customer service and relationship management, Reporting and documentation standards.

Module 6: Financial and Strategic Management: Cost control and budgeting for bulk cargo operations, Freight rate negotiation and chartering basics, Risk management and insurance, Performance monitoring and KPIs, Sustainable shipping practices and environmental stewardship, Capstone project: develop an operational plan for a bulk cargo shipment including logistics, safety, and compliance.
