Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Calligrapher course aims to equip learners with comprehensive skills and knowledge in the art of calligraphy. This course covers fundamental techniques, styles, tools, and materials required for mastering calligraphy. Students will develop proficiency in various scripts, understand the principles of letter formation, spacing, and composition, and learn how to apply calligraphy to different mediums such as paper, fabric, and digital platforms.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Calligraphy: History of Calligraphy, Tools and Materials, Types of Calligraphy Styles, Basic Strokes and Techniques, Understanding Ink and Paper, Setting Up Your Workspace.

Module 2: Basic Calligraphy Alphabets: Lowercase Alphabet Practice, Uppercase Alphabet Practice, Letter Spacing and Alignment, Connecting Letters, Writing Basic Words, Exercises for Consistency.

Module 3: Intermediate Lettering Techniques: Flourishing and Embellishments, Using Different Nibs and Brushes, Pressure Control Techniques, Creating Contrast in Strokes, Writing Sentences and Phrases, Practice with Common Calligraphy Fonts.

Module 4: Advanced Calligraphy Styles: Copperplate Calligraphy, Italic Calligraphy, Gothic/Blackletter Calligraphy, Modern Calligraphy, Brush Lettering Techniques, Combining Styles Creatively.

Module 5: Calligraphy Design and Composition: Layout and Design Principles, Creating Calligraphy for Invitations, Envelopes and Cards, Using Guidelines and Grids, Incorporating Color and Gold Leaf, Working with Digital Tools, Preparing Work for Presentation.

Module 6: Professional Calligraphy Practice: Customizing Calligraphy for Clients, Pricing and Marketing Your Work, Handling Commissions, Calligraphy in Branding and Logos, Creating Calligraphy Portfolios, Ethical Practices and Continued Learning.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
