Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Career and Education Counselling: Role and responsibilities of a career counsellor, Types of counselling (educational, career, personal), Importance of counselling in academic and career planning, Ethics and professional conduct in counselling, Understanding student behavior and needs, Current trends in career and education fields.

Module 2: Career Assessment and Psychometric Testing: Types of assessments used in counselling, Interest, aptitude, and personality testing, Administering and interpreting psychometric tests, Identifying strengths and improvement areas, Career mapping based on assessment outcomes, Tools and software for assessment.

Module 3: Educational Pathways and Opportunities: Overview of school and higher education systems (national and international), Vocational and skill-based education options, Competitive exams and entrance test guidance, Scholarships, financial aid, and admission processes, Aligning courses with career goals, Board and curriculum-specific guidance (CBSE, ICSE, IB, State).

Module 4: Career Options and Industry Trends: Popular and emerging career fields, Job roles and qualification requirements, Industry-specific skills and growth potential, Government and private sector opportunities, Self-employment and entrepreneurship options, Keeping up-to-date with job market trends.

Module 5: Counselling Techniques and Communication Skills: Establishing rapport with students and parents, Active listening and questioning techniques, Handling resistance and confusion, Goal setting and action planning, Group counselling and workshop facilitation, Maintaining confidentiality and trust.

Module 6: Counselling Practice, Technology, and Case Studies: Using technology and platforms for virtual counselling, Career guidance tools and online resources, Creating career plans and student profiles, Documenting sessions and tracking progress, Real-life case studies and role-plays, Feedback, review, and continuous improvement.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
