Objective: The objective of the Certified Chronic Pain Yoga Therapist course is to equip participants with the specialized knowledge and skills needed to safely and effectively use yoga therapy techniques to help individuals living with chronic pain. The course covers an understanding of chronic pain mechanisms, pain psychology, and the role of yoga in pain management. It trains therapists to design individualized, trauma-informed yoga sessions that improve physical function, reduce pain intensity, and enhance mental well-being.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Foundations of Chronic Pain and Yoga Therapy: Introduction to chronic pain, Types and causes of chronic pain, Pain physiology and neuroplasticity, Psychological impact of chronic pain, Principles of yoga therapy, Ethics and scope of practice in chronic pain yoga therapy.
Module 2: Assessment and Evaluation of Chronic Pain Patients: Patient history taking and pain assessment tools, Understanding pain scales and questionnaires, Identifying contraindications and precautions, Physical and emotional assessment techniques, Goal setting in chronic pain management, Documentation and progress tracking.
Module 3: Yoga Philosophy and Chronic Pain Management: Overview of yoga philosophy related to healing, Role of breath (pranayama) in pain modulation, Mindfulness and meditation for pain relief, Using yoga nidra for deep relaxation, Importance of mental attitude and self-awareness, Integrating yogic lifestyle for chronic pain.
Module 4: Therapeutic Yoga Practices for Chronic Pain: Gentle asanas for pain relief, Restorative yoga techniques, Customized yoga sequences for common chronic pain conditions, Breath control techniques (pranayama) for calming the nervous system, Meditation and visualization practices, Use of props and modifications for safety.
Module 5: Psychological and Emotional Aspects of Chronic Pain: Understanding the pain-anxiety-depression cycle, Techniques to reduce stress and anxiety, Cognitive-behavioral approaches in yoga therapy, Building resilience through yogic practices, Enhancing body awareness and emotional regulation, Group support and community engagement.
Module 6: Practical Applications and Professional Development: Designing individualized yoga therapy plans, Conducting yoga therapy sessions safely, Case studies and role-playing, Self-care and prevention for therapists, Building a chronic pain yoga therapy practice, Continuing education and professional growth.
