Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The Certified Cold Chain Specialist course is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and practical skills required to manage and optimize cold chain systems for temperature-sensitive products such as food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and biotechnology goods. The course covers cold chain infrastructure, refrigeration technologies, temperature monitoring systems, cold storage and transport management, regulatory standards (such as WHO, FDA, HACCP), and risk mitigation strategies.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Introduction to Cold Chain Logistics: Definition and Importance of Cold Chain, Components of an Effective Cold Chain, Applications in Food, Pharma, and Agriculture, Roles and Responsibilities of a Cold Chain Specialist, Challenges in Cold Chain Management, Key Stakeholders in Cold Chain Operations.
Module 2: Temperature Control and Product Sensitivity: Temperature Zones and Product Requirements, Temperature Monitoring Techniques and Devices, Sensitivity of Products to Temperature Variations, Impact of Temperature Excursions, Calibration and Validation of Monitoring Equipment, Pre-conditioning and Thermal Protection Methods.
Module 3: Cold Storage and Warehousing: Design and Layout of Cold Storage Facilities, Types of Cold Storage (Chillers, Freezers, Blast Freezers), Energy Efficiency and Insulation Techniques, Inventory Management in Cold Warehousing, Safety and Hygiene Standards, Maintenance and Emergency Procedures.
Module 4: Refrigerated Transportation Systems: Modes of Cold Chain Transportation (Road, Air, Sea, Rail), Refrigerated Vehicle Types and Technologies, Loading and Unloading Best Practices, Route Optimization and Transit Time Control, Real-Time Tracking and Monitoring, Vehicle Maintenance and Validation Protocols.
Module 5: Packaging and Handling of Cold Chain Products: Insulated and Active Packaging Solutions, Packaging Selection Based on Product Type, Handling Practices for Temperature-Sensitive Goods, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Compliance with Packaging and Labelling Standards, Waste Reduction and Reusability Strategies.
Module 6: Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance: Global Cold Chain Regulations and Certifications (GDP, HACCP, ISO), Documentation and Record Keeping, Risk Management and Contingency Planning, Audits and Inspections, Ensuring Product Integrity and Quality, Emerging Trends and Cold Chain Innovations.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
