Objective: The Certified Community Health Worker course is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to serve as a vital link between communities and the healthcare system. The program focuses on understanding public health principles, health education, cultural competency, advocacy, and community outreach. Students learn how to assess community needs, provide health coaching, promote healthy behaviors, support case management, and connect individuals to essential health and social services.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Community Health Work: Role and responsibilities of a community health worker, Overview of public health systems, Cultural competence and diversity, Professional ethics and boundaries, Understanding social determinants of health, Communication and interpersonal skills

Module 2: Community Outreach & Engagement: Community needs assessment methods, Building trust and rapport with community members, Outreach strategies and engagement tools, Working with vulnerable and underserved populations, Advocacy skills for community support, Conducting home visits and fieldwork safely

Module 3: Health Education & Promotion: Principles of health education, Developing and delivering health workshops, Teaching strategies for diverse groups, Preventive health practices and behavior change, Creating culturally appropriate educational materials, Promoting nutrition, physical activity, and healthy habits

Module 4: Public Health Issues & Basic Clinical Skills: Common community health concerns (chronic diseases, maternal health, infectious diseases), Mental health awareness and support strategies, Basic first aid and vital signs measurement, Understanding medication adherence and management, Navigating healthcare resources and referrals, Confidentiality and health information management

Module 5: Case Management & Support Services: Case management fundamentals, Conducting client interviews and assessments, Care coordination and follow-up, Documenting client interactions and progress, Crisis intervention and safety planning, Linking clients to social and community services

Module 6: Professional Development & Field Practice: Time management and organization skills, Teamwork and collaboration with healthcare providers, Leadership skills in community health, Program evaluation and reporting, Career opportunities and continuing education, Preparing for certification exams

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
