Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Concept Environment Artist course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to create compelling and immersive digital environments for games, films, animation, and virtual experiences. The course covers environment design principles, digital painting, 3D modeling, lighting, composition, color theory, perspective, storytelling through environments, and industry-standard software tools.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Environment Art: Introduction to environment art, Principles of visual storytelling, Elements of design (line, shape, color, texture), Composition and perspective, Understanding mood and atmosphere, Case studies of environment art in games and films

Module 2: Drawing and Digital Illustration: Traditional drawing techniques, Sketching and concept thumbnails, Digital painting basics, Lighting and shading in 2D art, Perspective and spatial understanding, Color theory and palettes

Module 3: 3D Modeling and Texturing: Introduction to 3D modeling software (Maya, Blender, 3ds Max), Creating environment assets, UV mapping and texturing, Material creation and application, Optimizing assets for performance, Integrating 3D assets into scenes

Module 4: Environment Design and World-Building: Designing believable and immersive worlds, Architectural and natural environment concepts, Scale and proportion in environments, Story-driven environment creation, Environmental storytelling techniques, Concept-to-final art pipeline

Module 5: Lighting, Rendering, and Visual Effects: Understanding light and shadow, Global illumination and ambient occlusion, Mood and atmosphere through lighting, Rendering techniques and software, Visual effects integration (fog, particles, weather), Post-processing and color grading

Module 6: Portfolio Development and Industry Practices: Creating a professional environment art portfolio, Presenting concepts effectively, Industry-standard workflows and pipelines, Collaboration with game designers and 3D artists, Feedback and iteration processes, Staying updated with trends and continuous skill development

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
