Participants learn to ensure data integrity, availability, and security while supporting organizational applications and analytics.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1 – Database Fundamentals & Architecture: Introduction to database systems and DBMS types, Roles and responsibilities of a Database Administrator (DBA), Logical vs physical database architecture and three‑schema model, Relational vs NoSQL databases and cloud database models, Database components: schemas, tables, indexes, views, data dictionary, Installation and configuration of database platforms

Module 2 – SQL, Data Manipulation & Querying: SQL basics: SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, Advanced SQL techniques: joins, subqueries, views, aggregates, Stored procedures, triggers and functions, Indexing and query optimisation techniques, Transactions, ACID properties and isolation levels, Working with data modelling: ER diagrams, normalization, schema design

Module 3 – Security, Access Control & Compliance: User authentication, authorisation, roles/privileges management, Encryption at rest and in transit, Data masking and anonymisation techniques, Auditing, logging, compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS) and security policies, Threats such as SQL injection, privilege escalation and mitigation strategies

Module 4 – Backup, Recovery & High Availability: Backup types: full, incremental, differential; Recovery models and point‑in‑time recovery, Disaster recovery planning and business continuity, Replication strategies: master‑slave, multi‑master, logical replication, Clustering, load balancing and failover, Cloud‑based high availability and migration strategies

Module 5 – Performance Tuning & Maintenance: Monitoring and performance tools (metrics, logs, diagnosis), Query tuning, index strategy, partitioning and caching, Maintenance tasks: vacuuming, re‑indexing, data purging, Automated jobs and scripting (cron, DB job scheduler), Capacity planning, storage management and scalability

Module 6 – Emerging Technologies & Operational Management: Cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud), Migration from on‑premises to cloud or hybrid models, NoSQL databases and big data integration (MongoDB, Cassandra, Hadoop), DevOps/automation for DBA tasks (infrastructure as code, CI/CD for databases), Standards, governance, metrics and KPIs for DBA operations, Future trends: serverless databases, AI/ML for database operations
